Path one

I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and I have questions

You may have been told that reading material like this is spiritually dangerous. We understand that, and we have tried to build something you can read without being insulted or hurried.

• Everything links to the organisation’s own words. Most citations open on the Watchtower Online Library or JW.org. You can read the whole article there, in context.
• Nothing here needs a decision. You do not need to tell anyone you are reading, and you do not need to conclude anything today. A sensible rule for any serious matter: do not make a sudden life-changing decision because of one page.
• The organisation’s own explanation is included. Where it has said why something changed, that explanation is on the same page as the change.

Suggested first reads

1. The blood rule changed: the 1990 wording, the 2000 wording and the 2026 wording, side by side.
2. 1975: what the 1966 book and the 1968 Watchtower said, and what the 1980 Watchtower said afterwards.

Path two

I am a family member who wants to share reliable evidence with a Witness

Documents are more useful than arguments about motives: an official publication, its date, its wording, and the later publication that differs.

• Share a single claim page rather than the whole site. Every claim has a direct link (for example, the link under any claim marked “Copy claim link”).
• Prefer claims labelled Verified, whose sources open on the organisation’s own website.
• Do not overstate. If a claim here says “three of the six young people named in the issue died”, do not turn it into “they all died”.
• If the conversation turns to how teachings change, the doctrine section shows how the publications themselves describe adjustments, so it can stay on the documents.

If the question is about the text of the Bible rather than about the organisation, the Bible and dates section keeps to what can be checked: the Greek and Hebrew, how other translations render the same words, and the organisation’s own reasons. It does not argue that any other translation or church is the true one.

Path three

I am a former Witness checking dates, quotations and sources

Go straight to the source ledger or the evidence library. Both filter by decade, topic and confidence, and each record shows the exact quotation, page and link, plus a note on what we opened and what we could not.

• Something you remember that we have marked Unverified or have not included? We would rather hear it than guess. Send it in with the publication and date if you have them.
• Quotations are kept short on purpose. The link takes you to the full text.

Path four

I am a journalist, researcher, lawyer or clinician

• Methodology explains the source hierarchy and the four confidence labels.
• sources.json and claims.json are the machine-readable ledger; IDs are stable.
• For the 2026 blood changes specifically, the primary documents are the JW.org Questions From Readers article, the two Governing Body Update news pages, the press release and the official chart, all linked from the blood investigation.
• Clinicians: the glossary maps the organisation’s terms (components, fractions, personal decision) onto clinical ones. Nothing on this site is treatment guidance.
