Bible Hub parallel translations, “Zechariah 12:10 in the parallel English versions”
“'Me': New International Version “They will look on me, the one they have pierced”; King James Bible “they shall look upon me whom they have pierced”; New American Standard Bible “they will look at Me whom they pierced”; JPS Tanakh 1917 “And they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through”. 'Him' or 'the one': New Revised Standard Version “when they look on the one whom they have pierced”; New American Bible “when they look on him whom they have thrust through”.”
The New World Translation's 'the one' matches the New Revised Standard Version almost word for word; the New American Bible reads 'him'. This is a textual crux in the Hebrew, not a rendering peculiar to the NWT.
